The Rafto Prize 2025 to ERR

In connection with the 2025 Rafto Prize ceremony, the Rafto Foundation's Oslo Group invites you to a conversation about this year's laureate Emergency Response Rooms Sudan at the Literature House in Oslo.

On Tuesday, November 11, we honour the courageous volunteers of the Emergency Response Rooms (ERR), recipients of the 2025 Rafto Prize for Human Rights.

Emerging from the devastating war in Sudan in 2023, the ERR are grassroots networks of thousands of volunteers providing life-saving assistance to civilians in need. Despite great personal risk, they deliver healthcare, food, and water, and document cases of sexual violence.

As the Sudanese state has collapsed and millions have been displaced, the ERR embody hope, courage, and solidarity.

We invite you to learn more about the work that highlights the importance of grassroots mobilization and collective efforts to safeguard fundamental human rights in times of war. There will be exciting discussions and reflections, including contributions from representatives from ERR.

This event is free of charge and open to everyone.

The individual organizer is responsible for the event and text, obtaining photo permission, and photo credit. For questions about content, participants, or other details, please contact the organizer directly.
