As Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine approaches its fourth year, different scenarios for eventually finding peace and justice have emerged. During the war, attention has been drawn not only to the humanitarian impact of the conflict but also to the international crimes and human rights violations committed. Various international organizations and justice mechanisms may be mobilized to address these serious violations of international law.

Join us for this important event with experts and Ukrainian representatives to explore the following topics:

  • How are international crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine investigated, and how do these efforts reflect the realities and injustices faced on the ground?

  • What is life like for those who refuse to submit to Russia’s control in the territories currently under Russian occupation? How do systematic violations of human rights manifest in their daily lives, and what challenges do people face in seeking justice and support?

  • How can we pursue accountability for international crimes in Ukraine through domestic and international mechanisms? In particular, how can the planned Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine contribute to this end?
