Welcome to Habitat Norway's Master's Seminar for the academic year of 2025-2026!
For the fourth year in a row, Habitat Norway - together with Norsk Bolig- og Byplanforening (Norsk BOBY) - has the pleasure to announce our scholarship opportunity for master's thesis students of the upcoming school year.
As an organisation concerned with the promotion of and awareness around global urban issues and opportunities, we are looking for students who are curious at writing about urbanism, planning, or architecure in a global perspective.
The seminar will include presentations and talks about last year's scholarship recipients's work, as well as an official announcement of our scholarship opprtunity for the upcoming year. Come and join us for an enlightening evening, and get insight into the following topics:
- Landscape Justice: Landscape Architecture at the Intersection of Nature and Migration in Peri-Urban Areas, focusing on Brazil and Norway, with Karina Tonietto Reis and Rocío Sandoval
- Participatory monitoring methods in urban informal settlements, with a focus on community engagement and co-creation of knowledge, with Catarina Reis
- Historic Parks Under Pressure: Urban Transformation of Green Spaces in Istanbul, with Marrium Abid Sandhu
- Divided and Shared. How the spaces of Nicosia and the ways they are used inhibit or promote bridging, bonding, or bordering accross divides, with Jenny Glaser BjørnsenMore information about the program will come!
