The situation in Syria is dramatic. The Syrian population are subject to increasing violence. The situation is complex, with several opposing groups and alliances with different goals. The threat of a full scale civil war is present. At the same time, the international community has few means with which to intervene. What can be done to save Syria? How should Norwegian foreign policy towards Syria be formed in this situation. What are our options?

Panel discussion with Torgeir Larsen (A), State Secretary, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide (H), Chair, the Storting’s standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, and Robert Malley, Middle East Program Director at the International Crisis Group, and a representative from the Kofi Annan Syria team.
